Download Google Chrome 14 - Best Internet Browser Ever!

Google has announced the release of Chrome 14 Web browser. With release of this stable version, Google’s Chrome 14 has now taken the lead towards the finishing spot of being labelled as the best internet browser among them all. Google’s Chrome web browser just keeps getting better with every new release. When Firefox wanted to speed up its path of development, it didn’t meet with much success. Some people say that it, in fact, became less stable. There is a general consensus now that the Chrome 14 is clearly the best web browser for any operating system that is available today.

Google to soon release a tablet version of its Chrome OS

Initial details in Google's source templates reveal that the company's coders have begun building a tablet version of Chrome OS, its browser-based operating system released in November 2009, and that will be released soon. But this doesn't come as a surprise to some, given that Google already created a few mock-ups of a Chrome OS tablet more than a year ago.

However, this does indicate that a tablet incarnation of Google's Web-based operating system is a near-term priority, not just a vague concept. And Google did acknowledge that the tablet version of Chrome OS is coming soon, but still wouldn't discuss any details such as when the project's first version will be completed.

"We are still engaging in early open-source development work for the tablet form factor, but we have nothing new to announce at this time," the company said in a statement.

Firefox 4 Overtakes IE9 Within 24 Hours Of Release; Chrome 11 Moves Into Beta

The war of the browsers is heating up further. Even before the dust could settle after the storm, IE9, which was released a week ageo, Mozilla has unleashed its wonder child, Firefox 4. If IE9 shows you the “beauty of the web” Firefox 4 is the “Web O’ Wonder.” The new browser saw 1 million downloads within 3 hours of launch and in 24 hours Firefox 4 was downloaded over 5 million times. Compared to this, IE9 was downloaded nearly 2.5 million times in the same period, but Firefox 3.6 was downloaded 8 million times.

It is not just the download numbers which shows that Firefox 4 has been better accepted than IE9, a report from StatCounter states, that Firefox has taken 1.95 percent of the worldwide internet browser market while IE9 0.87 percent of the worldwide market. The report also states that, when all versions of the browsers are considered, the IE family currently standing at 45 percent, lost 10 percent market-share since Feb 2010. But, the Chrome family gained 10 percent market share during the same time. There has not been much change in Firefox’s standings.
You can check out the present number of downloads from the real-time counter set up by Mozilla. JESS3 has created an video introducing Firefox 4, highlighting its various features.

Google Chrome OS Reviews

It still may be too early to truly pass judgement, but for those who got their hands on Google's Chrome OS here are their reviews.
In late November of 2009, Google unveiled more details of its new Chrome operating system (OS). Google’s Chrome OS will be a whole new type of operating system—the company is calling it a lightweight operating system that will take place within a Chrome-based browser. The company says it envisioned Chrome as a Web-only experience, so you can kiss your file system and software applicationsgoodbye. One of the fixes for this new operating system that has caused a bit of chattering is that it’s supposed to be extremely fast. Google is gearing the Chrome OS for speed: speedy Web access, speedy Web browsing, and just over all speed in performance.
