Google Toolbar increases your ability to find information from anywhere on the web. The Google Toolbar appears along with the Internet Explorer toolbar. This means you can quickly and easily use Google to search from any website location, without returning to the Google home page to begin another search.
Take your Toolbar with you
Now you can access all of your Toolbar settings, bookmarks and custom buttons from any computer, no matter whether you're at home or on the go. Select the option to 'Access your Toolbar settings everywhere' in the Toolbar sign-in menu. Then, when you sign in to Google Toolbar on any computer where it is installed, your settings will be updated and any changes you make during that session will be saved.
Fill out forms faster with improved AutoFill
Filling out forms on the web just got even easier. With the improved AutoFill feature, you can keep several different profiles to serve your business and personal needs and store credit card information with password protection. When you start filling in a form online, you can hover over the AutoFill icon to preview the information and then click to actually fill it in. You can also start typing in the form and AutoFill will prompt you to choose the profile that you would like to use.
Fix navigation errors with automatic suggestions
If you mistype a web address, instead of seeing a 404 or DNS error page, Google Toolbar will show you suggestions for the address you may have wanted as well as other navigation options.
Access your bookmarks from any computer
Want to create and label bookmarks that you can access from any computer? Simply click the Toolbar's star icon, or right-click the star to add and label a bookmark. You'll be able to access your Bookmarks menu on any computer with the new Google Toolbar installed.
Note: this feature stores your bookmarks online, so you'll need to have a Google Account and be signed in to create and access your bookmarks. You can also view your bookmarks using your Google Account's Search History feature. Just click the "Search History" link that appears in the upper right-hand corner of the Google homepage when you're logged into your Google Account and you'll see your Bookmarks.
Share web pages
You can use your Google Toolbar to share web pages via email or blog. To share an entire page, select from the Toolbar's "Send To" menu; to share an excerpt, simply select the section of the page you want to share before clicking "Send To."
Use PageRank to assess web pages
Wondering whether a new website is worth your time? Use the Toolbar's PageRank™ display to tell you how Google assesses the importance of the page you're viewing.
Using Gmail just got easier (Firefox only)
If you're a Gmail user, the Google Toolbar can set Gmail as your default email program. Once you've done this, clicking on an email link will automatically open a Gmail Compose page.
