A More Compact Nokia E6 Business Phone Announced

Through a blog post, Nokia is announcing a more compact business phone, Nokia E6. The phone boasts QWERTY Keyboard and touch experience with more navigation feel and operation than either a pure touch or keyboard-only system. Nokia is offering you both touch and QWERTY world because even the most experienced users get problems with touch typing but launching apps is fairly easy on touch interface.

Nokia E6 Specifications:
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 2.46-inch LCD capacitive touch display with 16mn colours a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels.
  • 8GB of internal memory, support for MicroSD cards up to 32GB.
  • Removable Nokia BP-4L 1500mAH – rated, 30 days standby and 7h30m talk-time over 3G and longer over GSM connections.
  • Bluetooth 3.0 with support for stereo headphones.
  • It measures 115.5 x 59 x 10.5mm and weighs 133g.
  • 8-Megapixel full focus (EDOF) camera which has a dual-LED flash, 2X digital zoom (3X in video mode) and offers HD 720p video recording at 25fps.
  • Global walk and drive navigation through the latest Ovi Maps, free push email and IM and runs on Symbian Anna Operating System
  • Five home screens, improved browser and redesigned interface .
  • Bundled software includes QuickOffice, World Traveler, JoikuSpot Premium and F-Secure Mobile Security. More apps can be downloaded and installed through Ovi Store.
  • Support for USB On-The-Go and AV-out for connecting to a television or headphones.
The Nokia E6 phone is expected to ship in Europe and Africa by June 2011 will cost €340 before Taxes and operator subsidies.
