Apple and BSNL to Launch 3G-Enabled iPads in India

Apple has announced to release the much awaited iPad in India in partnership with BSNL. The Apple iPad will be available in Wi-Fi or 3G+Wi-Fi versions and each one have three variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The Wi-Fi version priced between Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 33,000 and the 3G with Wi-Fi version priced between Rs. 33,000 and Rs. 44,000.

All iPad models come with built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi. If you want to extend your network coverage further, choose iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G and sign up for access to 3G data service. Pad with Wi-Fi + 3G offers superfast data speeds up to 7.2 Mbps over 3G cellular networks around the world. It’s perfect when you’re out and about with no access to a Wi-Fi network, because you can still get a fast connection for surfing the web, sending and receiving email, or getting directions.

BSNL has planned to provide special data plans to iPad 3G users as part of this exclusive deal with Apple. Though in international market this iPad is almost outdated and the second generation i.e. iPad 2 will be release in just three months. The iPad will be launched in India on January 28. The iPad will be available in India only through Apple's premium retailers.
